Question n°1 : Cet

Ruth is a
13-year old girl whose mathematical achievement at St Hugh's College, Oxford is difficult
to grasp. In two years, she completed a
3-year degree course covering 17 topics.
Ruth began reading books at 4 but in 12 months she developed her reading ability to that of a nine-year old. Her parents had then
decided that school was a waste of time. Mr
Lawrence, her father, gave up his job as a computer consultant to concentrate on one-to-one teaching at home using ideas of
the Greek philosopher Socrates to lead Ruth on to her own discoveries
through a sequence of questions and answers. |
